Vintage Royal of California Plaid Blue Denim Circle Skirt Dress & Shrug Jacket
This vintage Royal of California plaid trim blue denim circle skirt dress and shrug jacket dates from the 1950s. It is made of a blue denim cotton twill fabric with a red, white and blue plaid print cotton fabric trim edging. This beautiful blue denim sundress has a full circle skirt with patch pockets, button shoulder straps backed in a red grosgrain ribbon with decorative red stitching, a back zipper closure and is unlined. The dress measures 47 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 30 inch waist and 58 inch hips. There is a matching denim fabric short shrug jacket with plaid trim lapel collar, cuffs, gathered shoulders, puff sleeves, a button closure at the waist and is unlined. The jacket measures 17 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 28 inch waist and 15 inch back. There is a "Royal of California" label sewn inside. It is in good condition, with only some slight fade discoloration on the ribbon shoulder straps and some inked writing on the label (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of retro 50s denim wearable art!
