Description
I am relisting this auction original buyer did not want itfor auction is a vintage Bench top Craftsman metal cutting lathe model 109- 20630. It is a 6'' swing. The total length of the lathe from the outside of the gear cover to the feed handle is 26'' long. The lathe weighs about 50 pounds as pictured The accessories are additional weight. The lathe is in decent good as found condition. It is un-cleaned and will need a full on cleaning restoration and lubrication. The head stock spins freely. Nothing appears to be damaged. There is signs of user wear and tear on the pulley wheel. The gears all appear to be in good solid used condition. The gear positioning handle does move and lock into place. The gear cover housing has a flimsy hinge that is loose and sloppy. The chuck is in good used condition and operates as it should. From some reason I am unable to get the chuck off the machine. It may just be stuck tight. The tool rest compound slide assembly is working well and appears to be in good used condition. The compound slide does engage and dis engage to the feed rod/bar as it should The tail stock is in good used condition. I am not sure if the centering screws on each side of the tail stock are original or if they are replacements. ( see pictures) The bed is in good solid used condition. It will need some good cleaning restoration. The center steady rest was found with the lathe but does not fit the machine or mount on the machine. Please see pictures for condition. Ask questions before you bid Any information will be appreciated. Buyer pays shipping and insurance Fed Ex Ground. Thanks for looking.

The steady rest appear to be a user altered tool the the previous owner rigged up
