    Description

    This is a gorgeous quality made vintage Towncliffe Hand Tailored skirt suit sold by upscale Purcell's Richard Dobkin.  Attached union suit and coat label inside, this suit has a unique cotton blend fabric woven in a brown, black and ivory houndstooth style small plaid.  All of the plaids match at the seams perfectly.
    The jacket is fully lined in a brown acetate fabric.  It has short sleeves with a laydown collar, sewn-in hidden suit pads and a button front with pretty two-tone rounded buttons.  Four faux pockets are outlined with overflaps.  There are nice vents on the sides.
    The skirt is fully lined in a brown acetate fabric with cotton linen underneath. It has a straight body with darts for shaping, a side zipper and metal slider. Beautiful fit!
    This suit is in excellent, rarely worn condition.  However, it does NEED CLEANING as there are dust stripes on the shoulder.  No fading or bad seams, the second button and slide tab are a little loose and could use a stitch or two.  Once cleaned it will look brand new.  There are no size tags but it fits a modern size 12 perfectly. I will be listing many more items from this estate in the months ahead. Visit often!
