Vintage 1959 Cast White Metal Great Dane Bust. 5" x 5.75". Hand Made & Painted

Vintage (?) cast white metal bust of a great dane dog. This piece is a flat cast that measures approximately 5" tall x 5.75" wide.
It appears to have been hand cast and hand painted (on thebfront only). Although we could be wrong about the hand casting, given that the back of the dog is a bit rough and uneven, we really believe we called this correctly. The dog is painted gloss black.
We don't know the exact date of manufacture, but given the style of the piece (reminoscent of a silhouette), WE'RE GUESSING it was made sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s. If you have any better information on this piece, please let us know and we'll update this post as appropriate.
This would make a great gift for any dog lover!
Condition
is Very Good, Used. There are a few dings in the paint where the metal shows through. Otherwise, there are no extraneous chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, or other issues with this piece. There is some dust / dirt in the crevices from being long on display in the open of previous owners' homes, but this can be easily cleaned with some warer and a scrub brush.
