Vintage Taupe Gabardine Wool Womens Suit Jacket & Pencil Skirt
This vintage taupe gabardine wool womens suit jacket and pencil skirt dates from the 1940s. It is made of a brownish gray taupe color gabardine fine wool fabric with pleated details on the shoulders and pockets. This stunning tailored womens suit jacket has a fold over lapel collar, long full sleeves with rolled cuffs, front patch pockets, fabric covered buttons down the front for closure and is fully lined. The jacket measures 24 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 22 inch long sleeves and a 14 inch back. There is a matching fabric pencil skirt, with front and back kick pleat slit bottom, falls slightly below the knee, a fitted waist with side zipper, snap closure and is unlined. The skirt measures 29 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 40 inch hips. It is in good condition, with a tiny faint stain on the bottom front jacket, a few moth nips on the back and a tiny moth hole on the front shoulder (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful quality custom made tailored piece of wearable art!
