Description

Iraqi Kurdistan planned to hold a referendum in the fall of 2014 to vote on Kurdish independence. The sudden rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant known as ISIL in the summer of 2014 threatened the Kurdish territory and people so the referendum was indefinitely delayed. This coin commemorate the event of the Iraqi Kurdistan independence referendum.
