from a lovely book by S.M. Lampson on Dogs, published in 1963, and illustrated by the noted artist Bridget Olerenshaw.
Bridget Olerenshaw was one of the top canine artists in Great Britain. She began specializing in canine portraits in 1958 and was commissioned by Country Life to paint the front covers for several Crufts editions of their magazine. Her designs for the "Crufts Club Badges" and her special sets of "puppy" drawings, which were first used in the Golden Jubilee year, are still in current use today.
