DOG Great Dane, Large Antique Chromolith 1890s Print

Description

This is a phenomenal oversized antique print from the 1890s. It depicts a giant Great Dane dog, in wonderful hues. It is a chromolith from a high quality Ernist Nister children's book published in Nuremburg Germany. There is no copyright date, but the style of the reproduction is consistent with other 1890s Nister books I have. An inscription puts it at 1895 or earlier. I consider this series some of the finest chromoliths I have come across.
PLEASE NOTE there is some minor damage to the white margins of the print, that does not effect the picture area.
There is text on the back, but the paper is so thick and heavy it doesn't show through. The page is lightly toned with age. The page size is approx. 9x11 inches and the actual image size (without margins) is approx. 7.5x9 inches.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
