You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1880s French illustrated journal.
It depicts four Great Dane Dogs (also called German Mastiffs). In the top left is a picture of their kennels. THere is a spitz or pomeranian shown for size. These dogs were shown at the Exposition Canine de Paris.
Also included with the print is a second page from the same journal with a 10-inch article. The article starts on the second page and ends on the back of the print. It is in French, but free computer translation programs make it easy to translate.
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a French caption below.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
