Cannon Magnum 10 Electric Downrigger Has Issues Rough Project

This is a Cannon Magnum 10 Electric Downrigger. Older Model. From a local storage unit. Has issues. Read details below before bidding.
Cosmetics-Surface wear and dirt residue. It was in storage for years. The main boom shaft has some rust and paint loss in areas but extends ok. Rubber cover for the direction toggle switch is split. The power cord has a sliced area through to the wiring and the end plug pins have corrosion. See photos. Good overall otherwise. Operationally I applied 12 volts and sometimes the motor responded and sometimes it did not. I am not sure if its the damaged power cable or other issue ?? When it did respond it changed directions via the switch. The mechanical counter though did not seem to track or move correctly. Good for someone who likes a project.
