This beautiful Chinese Republic Period hawk is portrayed in one of the most common depictions of a Chinese hawk..  He is perched on an open rocky base. Sitting on its pierced perch, this statue is especially stunning with its vivid underglaze colors, bright green pigmentation, large exaggerated eyes, and stylized wings.  In Feng Shui,  birds draw positive energy while repelling negative energy, symbolize opportunity, and are the bearers of good news.
